In 2024, the Church displayed a glittering video depicting the Nativity in major cities across the world. On November 13, the video was projected on County Hall in London, England. County Hall is next to the iconic London Eye observation wheel.
The video was also shown on outdoor venues in places like Tokyo, Japan, and Sydney, Australia. On December 1, the Church released a video compilation of people’s reactions. That video now has over 6 million views.
Watch the Nativity Video Yourself
In the compilation video, we see only clips of the glittering Nativity presentation. It wasn’t until Elder Ronald A. Rasband posted the video to social media that we could see the full production. He wrote:
“How grateful I am for this sacred time of year to focus on the love and light of Jesus Christ. It is a blessing to be able to share it with all of God’s children—our brothers and sisters. I testify that Jesus Christ was born in a manger, that angels declared His birth, that He is our Savior and Redeemer, and that He lives today,”
The video was also later posted to the Church’s YouTube, which you can watch below.
A Glittering Nativity in Times Square
Last year, a similar Nativity video was shown on 27 digital displays in Times Square in New York City. A video documenting the event has now been viewed over 33 million times.
