Some Latter-day Saint artists recently teamed up to perform a cover of country singer Thomas Rhett's new song, “Be A Light.”

The performers include Yahosh Bonner of The Bonner Family, Bri Ray, Madilyn Paige, and Maddie Wilson.

The video begins with a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

Ray shared a clip of the music video on her Instagram account and said, “To those of you who have spoken and continue to speak up—thank you. Continue to spread love and be love. Continue to demand human decency and civil rights for Black lives. This movement is far from over, but look how far we’ve come in the last month. Your voices lift me. Your souls inspire me. Together, we are light.”

The song, “Be a Light,” was originally released in spring 2020 and features singers Chris Tomlin, Hillary Scott, Keith Urban, and Reba McEntire.

“This song was really just about being a light in a dark place; being an encouragement to people," Rhett, who wrote the song, told Billboard. "We weren’t supposed to release this now, but I really felt like the song needed to come out today. I hope it puts a smile on your face in this crazy, crazy time."
