GENTRI has released a music video of a timeless Christmas classic: “Silent Night.”
Although the song was first released by the men’s trio eight years ago, the music video tells a different story—one of reconciliation. Scenes in the music video show a father and daughter who have long been estranged from one another, but who ultimately come together on Christmas day. Through that story, as well as the beautiful harmonies and stirring orchestral parts, viewers are reminded of the hope and healing that the Savior brings.
GENTRI explained in the YouTube description what their goals were in producing the video. They said, “As we worked on this video, we wanted the visuals to show a real-life scenario of how Christ can heal old wounds and make all things whole. He truly is the Master Healer. We hope that you will feel peace and find healing through this message and music.”
The music video was meaningful for many viewers who left comments about how it personally touched them. One viewer, Dave Christensen, wrote:
“What a great way to start the Christmas season to heal old wounds and bring families together. My Dad passed away almost two months ago, and this will be the first Christmas in my lifetime that he won't be with us. Mom left us 22 years ago, but now they are together. Thanks for your talents and the sensitivity your videos bring to the world. MERRY CHRISTMAS!”

In the YouTube description, GENTRI goes on to explain the power of the song “Silent Night” and what the music conveys.
“It holds a special place in our hearts,” the group explains. “Not only is it one of the most beautiful Christmas songs ever written, it seems to capture the tenderness of the Christ child born in a manger, but also the majesty of His mission.”
