If you’ve followed LDS Living content through the pandemic, chances are you’ve heard of “Deseret Book Live!” These short videos feature Deseret Book authors and artists with the goal of bringing you uplifting content during these times.
And for those of you who joined us for the April videos, we have exciting news: “Deseret Book Live!” is returning every week with a new video.
The first video is centered on a phrase found in Alma 58:11, and a question, “Where can we turn for peace?” We asked Latter-day Saints around the world where they turn for peace during hard times. Trust us, you don’t want to miss what they say and what they sing.
Face and voices featured in the video include Calee Reed (Morgan, Utah), Aitana Alapa (Woods Cross, Utah), Mike Mullen (Elk Grove, California), Tsugumi Yoshikawa (Kanagawa, Japan), Jason Deere of the Nashville Tribute Band (Nashville, Tennessee), Sefa Palu (Sydney, Australia), Lupe Diaz (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Austin Patten (Draper, Utah), Solange Lee (Sydney, Australia), and Robert Dos Santos (Vero Beach, Florida).

“What I’ve found is really helpful when I’m looking for peace is if I will make a conscious choice to connect intentionally with God,” Calee Reed says, explaining that this intentional connection can look like not clicking on social media apps and instead studying the scriptures or listening to a conference talk. “What I’ve found is that when I am intentional with reconnecting with God, He is able to give me perspective, and perspective brings peace.”
