There’s no denying that Brigham Young University’s mascot, Cosmo the Cougar, has earned a reputation for pulling off some cool stunts.

From rolling down the stands of the LaVelle Edwards Stadium in a human hamster ball to leaping slam dunks at a basketball game to dancing smooth Michael Jackson moves by the pool, it seems there’s nothing the mascot can’t do. And now, Cosmo has added to that list by walking down the school’s dreaded campus stairs by the Richards Building (RB) on his hands, legs straight up in the air.

According to Y Magazine, there are 192 steps that climb the west side of campus, and students have joked about the challenge of walking them on their way to class. Even years after the fact, alumni still talk about how brutal the stairs were.

“Whoa. I got tired walking down those stairs,” tweeted Matt Nielsen in reply to the post showing Cosmo’s stunt.

Another person who commented agreed. “I could barely walk those steps using my legs! Sheesh!” Jolene Weston said.

Cosmo, on the other hand, is not only undaunted by the steps—he even said that he enjoys them. Now his stunt might have students thinking twice the next time they take the stairs to get to class. Walking them likely won’t seem so bad after all.
