A new music video on The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s YouTube channel features some heavyweight talent. The song, “That’s What Christmas Means to Me,” features the soothing baritone voice of Broadway leading man Brian Stokes Mitchell accompanied on piano by Mack Wilberg himself, the director of The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square.

To top it off, the video accompanying the song features actor Kevin Sorbo, who is known for playing the role of Hercules in the 90s TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He also acted in Christian-themed films Let There Be Light and God’s Not Dead.

This isn’t the first time Sorbo has appeared in a Tabernacle Choir Christmas video. He was previously featured in a 2018 music video of “Silent Night.”

For his part, Brian Stokes Mitchell has had a close relationship with the Choir and the Church since 2008, when he performed as the guest artist for the Tabernacle Choir’s annual Christmas concert. His appearances with The Choir also include their 2011 Pioneer Day concert, and in November the New Yorker helped host the unveiling of the Light the World Giving Machines in Rockefeller Center. He’s also performed several times at Church-owned Brigham Young University, most recently at the school’s homecoming “Spectacular!” program in October.

Mitchell also hosts the PBS and BYUtv special 20 Years of Christmas with The Tabernacle Choir, which airs this year in place of The Choir’s traditional Christmas concert.
