Watch: Be the first to see inside the new Casper Wyoming Temple

Media attended a news conference in Casper on Monday, August 26, 2024. Those participating in the event included Elder Randall K. Bennett, North America Central Area President; Elder James R. Rasband, an assistant executive director of the Temple Department; Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson; and several local leaders. Tours begin this week for the Casper Wyoming Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Invited guests will tour the new house of the Lord on Tuesday, August 27, and Wednesday, August 28. A public open house will take place from Thursday, August 29, through Saturday, September 14, 2024, excluding Sundays. No tickets are needed to tour the temple.

Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the Casper Wyoming Temple dedication on Sunday, November 24, in one session at 10 a.m. The dedication will be broadcast to all units in the Casper temple district.

About the Casper Wyoming Temple

The Casper Wyoming Temple is 9,950 square feet and sits on a 9.52-acre site. The temple is at 3011 Independence Court in Casper. The steel-framed modular structure supports an exterior cladding of glass fiber-reinforced concrete.

The Casper temple will serve more than 15,000 members of the Church in nearly 50 congregations. The temple’s design motifs include the stylized versions of the Indian paintbrush, Wyoming’s state flower, and sagebrush.
