In a recent LDS Living "5-Minute Fireside," Michelle Wilson tackled the topic of toxic perfectionism balanced against Jesus Christ's commandment "be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
As Wilson attempted to tackle feelings of inadequacy, stress, and anxiety, she realized, "My biggest problem wasn't that I was striving for perfection. The problem was how I defined perfection."

In the video, she shares three truths about perfection that might bring peace and inspiration into your life. "If perfection isn't about performance, then perfection is about proximity [to our Savior]," Wilson says. "He is not looking to find perfection in us. He is looking for us to find perfection in Him."
