In the wake of the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and other volunteers are helping those impacted by the disaster.

A new video from Church Newsroom shows volunteers wearing the bright yellow t-shirts associated with “Helping Hands,” the Church program dedicated to disaster relief and community service. Volunteers are seen sawing away at fallen trees, removing mud from yards and homes, and even laying down wood chips to keep a horse safe in its muddy pasture.

“Even though I’m standing in absolute chaos,” one survivor says. “I feel better about the world right now than I have in a long time.”
