As a global Church and with President Russell M. Nelson’s focus on gathering Israel, it’s no wonder that so many new temples have been announced or are currently under construction. Across the globe, there are currently 170 dedicated temples, 46 under construction, and 49 announced. Those 265 temples span 73 countries and six continents.

There are many factors that go into determining the location of new temples, and the number of Church members or congregations in a given country is not necessarily indicative of its likelihood to receive a temple.
