“I wish I could whisper [this scripture] to every one of God’s girls,” President Freeman wrote.

In a recent Instagram and Facebook post, President Emily Belle Freeman shared the scripture she whispered to her baby granddaughters during their first few days of life:

“But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, … he that formed thee, … Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

“For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour. …

“Since thou wast precious in my sight, … I have loved thee. …

“Fear not: for I am with thee” (Isaiah 43:1–5).

“I wish I could whisper [this scripture] to every one of God’s girls,” President Freeman wrote. “He has called you by name. You are precious in His sight. He loves you. You are His. Remember that this week.”

One Instagram user commented,

“This is amazing. I’m planning a spiritual thought for my Activity Day girls, and as I’ve prayed, I’ve felt impressed to teach them about how God feels about them. I opened my Instagram, and this was the first thing I saw. I’m going to share this with them. Thank you for helping God answer my prayers.”

Another wrote,

“Thank you for the reminder. I pray every one of God’s children can know how precious they are in His sight. Our youth juggle so much, and this message rings true.”
