This recipe makes a very hearty, barbeque-flavored chili! It disappeared pretty fast at our cook-off. Needless to say, it won second place in our competition. Stay tuned for our first-place winner!
Smokey Bacon Chili
1 lb. hamburger browned and drained
1 can kidney beans drained
1 can butter beans drained
2 cans pork and beans
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup onions (optional)
3 Tablespoons white vinegar
1 Tablespoon liquid smoke
6 pieces of bacon, crumbled
Cook on high in crock pot for 3-4 hours, or medium for longer, or you can cook it all on the stove just until it is hot.
Simple, but delicious!
