Winterfest is Brigham Young University’s performance series in Salt Lake City. From February 2 to March 16, 2024, performing groups from BYU will entertain audiences at the Conference Center Theater.
Winterfest will feature eight performing groups. These groups include the award-winning a cappella groups Noteworthy and Vocal Point. Their show provides a varied repertoire full of harmony and charm.
The Ballroom Dance Company presents Rhythm, a performance of innovative and compelling choreography. The shows highlight is their performance of their award-winning ballroom and Latin competition medleys.
The Young Ambassadors' Thank You for the Music performance features some of the group's greatest works from their 50-year global tour. Since its debut at Expo ’70 in Osaka, Japan, the group has performed everywhere from concert halls to orphanages.
Living Legends presents Storytellers, a celebration of Polynesian, Latin American, and Native American culture through dance. Living Legends reminds audiences who they are and where they come from.
The International Folk Dance Ensemble’s Journey is an exploration of the heartbeat of the world’s cultures. Journey entertains with Irish hard shoe, American clogging, Ukrainian Hopak, Indian bhangra, and much more.
Contemporary Dance Theatre will present Oh the Drama, discovering music in the body through powerful athleticism and intricate movement, and features Alwin Nikolais’ seminal work Tensile Involvement.
Theater Ballet showcases the finest in ballet training from BYU’s Dance Department. Their family-friendly classical ballet showcases both classical and new choreography that is graceful and inspiring.
