Returned LDS Missionary Auditions for "American Idol" to Honor His Mother’s Memory

The first time John Wayne Schulz auditioned for “American Idol" in 2011, he did so at the request of his mother. This year, he auditioned to honor her memory.

Schulz’s mother died due to breast cancer. His most recent "American Idol" audition aired during the Jan. 14 episode.
