The sealing wing addition, attached to the north wall of the Salt Lake Temple, is currently being built. The wing, which will include five additional sealing rooms, rests on base isolators like the new seismically designed foundation of the historic temple.

Finish work is also progressing steadily for the two new baptismal fonts and sealing rooms in the north addition.
Inside the historic temple, finish work is underway in the celestial room and adjoining original sealing rooms, which had to undergo abatement work to remove lead-based paint.
