On the anniversary of the death of her son Michael Blosil, Marie Osmond shared the hope and peace the plan of salvation brings to her life even as she remembers her son.
On Facebook, she wrote:
Seven is known to symbolize a heavenly number. Well, today marks seven years since my sweet son Michael's pain and sadness abruptly ended. It's not an easy thing to deal with, but I am so grateful for the knowledge, especially today, of God's Great Plan of Salvation. It offers hope to all that life does not just begin at birth nor does it end at death.
In the '70s, my brothers poured their hearts and soul into an album they wrote called "The Plan," which explains our life with God before we were born, why we are here in this life and where we will go after we die. Do you remember this album?

Our primary purpose in life covers the following: 1. To obtain a body of flesh and bones. 2. To gain experience. The type that could come ONLY through separation from our Heavenly Father. 3. To be tried and tested. We are on earth on a probationary period and here to see if we will keep God's commandments.
Russel M. Nelson says death is a necessary step to our path to return back to our Heavenly Father. "Returning from earth to life in our heavenly home requires passage through—and not around—the doors of death. We were born to die, and we die to live. As seedlings of God, we barely blossom on earth, but we fully flower in heaven."
Our body is a heavenly gift! It is our temple. God tells us to organize it and establish a house of order. It is the only one we have, so best we take care if it and educate ourselves. I hope that we can understand the glorious Plan of Salvation and what this life has to offer. Without this understanding, the pains and trials of this life can feel or become too overwhelming. Through Christ's atonement, it is wonderful to know that we will ALL enjoy a resurrected body someday and that I will be able to embrace my Michael tightly again in my arms and never let go.
What do you think your purpose in life is? #Happy #Sunday!
