Church News has released a new map showing all of the Church’s historic sites in the United States. The sites stretch from Joseph Smith’s birthplace in Sharon, Vermont, in the east to The Mormon Battalion Center in San Diego in the west.

Twelve states, in a swath roughly across the center of the country, contain at least one Church historic site.

If you’d like to test your knowledge of these sites, check out the map below and see how many of the numbered points on the map you can identify. Then check out the full map with the key at the bottom of the page.

All of the Church’s historical sites are now open to the public following the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, you can watch a prerecorded virtual tour or schedule a live virtual tour of many of the sites.

Visit history.churchofjesuschrist.org/landing/historic-sites for more information about what's available at each site.
