Linda was born and raised in beautiful Southern California where she developed a deep love for surf, sand, sun, and chips n salsa! When she was seventeen years old she received a letter from a then unknown missionary headed to Portugal to serve a full time mission. A mere 2 1/2 years later she married her “pen pal” in the Los Angeles, California temple. Shane is still her favorite person in the world 41 years later. Time with her family is Linda’s greatest pleasure. Linda can also be found spending time enjoying the outdoors, traveling, learning with friends but mostly sitting at her desk studying the scriptures.
Shane and Linda had the privilege to serve as Mission Leaders in the Brazil, Sao Paulo North mission from 2020–2023. Covid made things challenging, the culture made things interesting, the Portuguese language gave Linda a lifelong goal to achieve, and the missionaries made everything worth it! Currently Shane and Linda teach the Book of Mormon to the 16/17 year old Sunday School class together. We love teaching youth about the Jesus Christ and the restored gospel.
