Tony Finau stunned crowds at the Masters with an incredible hole in one. And he stunned crowds again after popping his ankle back into place moments later.
On Wednesday, Finau was at the Masters Tournament Par-3 Contest when something every golfer dreams of happened—he got a hole in one.
Tony Finau just: • Sank a hole-in-one. 👍 • Celebrated accordingly. 😊 • Dislocated his ankle while celebrating. 😱 • Popped it back into place. 😳 What a wild moment at #TheMasters Par 3 Contest. 🎥: @cjzeropic.twitter.com/UxGjksBSpG — Yahoo Sports (@YahooSports) April 4, 2018
Finau, who is rated 34th in the world, was understandably excited and took off at a full sprint down the fairway. But when he began running backward, his foot buckled under him, dislocating his ankle. Finau then dropped to one knee, and in one quick motion, popped his ankle back into place.
But the tournament didn't end there for Finau. He went on to finish one more round or two holes before the end of the day.
Luckily, an MRI on Thursday showed Finau was good to play the remainder of the tournament.
