You need to hear this stunning version of "Nearer My God to Thee," performed by the Redfourth Chorus from Upper Hill School Nairobi in Kenya. This song was arranged by James Stevens and originally sung by BYU's Vocal Point.

In the description of the video, it says, "It’s been fifteen years since Philip ‘Filah’ Tuju began training young singers at Upper Hill School as a volunteer. The journey has not always been easy but the positive impact on the lives of the students over the years has been more than fulfilling.

"As an appreciation of God's Faithfulness, Philip ‘Filah’ Tuju suggested that the Redfourth Chorus should cover the BYU version of the hymn and use Swahili text to bring the message closer home.
This Redfourth Chorus version has adapted Swahili text from a famous Swahili hymn, ‘Chakutumaini Sina’ and also includes original text and arrangements by Philip ‘Filah’ Tuju."
