In the latest video and blog postin the “How I Hear Him” series, Primary General President Joy D. Jones shares an experience when she heard in her mind the name of a woman, followed by the words, “Call now!”
Acting on the spiritual prompting, President Jones said she was able to share with the woman, who had stage 4 cancer, a “very emotional, sweet, tender experience.”
“I would never take credit for [God’s] sweet, perfect love,” she said, “but oh, how grateful I am that He allows me to just be a piece of the puzzle!”
As we learn to respond to these kinds of promptings, President Jones said, we are uplifted, taught, inspired and loved. “It makes you want to do it more and more.”
The video was shared on President Jones’ social media accounts and accompanies her blog post titled “Consistently Striving to Hear Him” on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
The “How I Hear Him” series of videos and articles features leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sharing how they hear God speak through the Holy Ghost, emphasizing the importance of learning to understand how the Savior communicates with each individual.
