How to submit names to the temple prayer roll online

When someone we know or love is experiencing a trial, the prayer circle in the temple can feel like an extra tool in our toolbelt in supporting them and expressing our concern to Heavenly Father on their behalf. And even if you can’t make it to the temple immediately to write their name on a slip of paper for the prayer roll, the Church has made that same process available online as well.

Here’s where you can submit those names online.

1. Navigate to ChurchofJesusChrist.org and click "Sign in".

2. Once you are logged in, click on the "Resources" tab in the top right corner and click "My Home" from the top of the dropdown list.

3. On "My Home," click the box that says "Temple Prayer Roll."

4. On the "Temple Prayer Roll" page, type in the name of the individual you want to add to the prayer roll and click the Plus button.

After you click the PLUS button, the name will move down below and allow you to type in another name should you wish to do so. Click the PLUS button after you type in each name you would like to submit.

5. When you have all the names listed you would like to submit, click on the blue "Submit Names" button to send them to the temple.

One important note is listed on the Prayer Roll name submission page as well:

Those with a special relationship or interest may submit the names of up to 5 individuals per request who are sick or otherwise afflicted and are in need of the faith and prayers of temple patrons. Names remain on the prayer roll for two weeks.
