Standing at 5 feet 8 inches, this Christus statue took 40 volunteers a year and a half to create. Made up of nearly 30,000 Legos donated by the members of the Oensta Gryta Church in Sweden, the statue was completed just in time to celebrate Easter in 2009.
And this replica, modeled after Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen’s Christus, is a sight familiar to many Latter-day Saints because we, too, have a replica of the Christus, which is prominently placed at the North Visitors' Center at Temple Square.
