Google's 3D Mapping Makes Exploring LDS Temples More Fun Than a Pop-up Book

There's a feature on Google Maps that you may not have noticed before and it's a really fun way to explore LDS temples.

The feature, which can be accessed by clicking the Google Earth View box in the bottom right-hand corner of Google Maps on desktop, turns photos of popular locations around the world into 3D objects.

So, naturally, we wanted to see what LDS temples looked like using this fun technology. We were delighted with the results and wanted to share them with you.

Below, you'll find 8 LDS temples from around the world that we've explored using Google Earth and the 3D feature.

To view other temples, simply visit Google Maps, type in the name of an LDS temple, turn on earth view, and click "3D."

You'll be addicted just like us.

Here are eight we found while poking around:

1. Salt Lake City, Utah Temple

2. San Diego, California Temple

3. Provo City Center Temple

4. Logan, Utah Temple

5. St. George, Utah Temple

6. Sao Paulo, Brazil Temple

7. Tokyo, Japan Temple

8. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Temple
