Sacrament meeting is a special time each week where members can renew their baptismal covenants and draw strength from the Savior's Atonement.
And while members may realize its sacredness in their lives, they may not realize just how important sacrament meeting really is.
In a recent Facebook post, Elder Quentin L. Cook shared why sacrament meeting is so important and the "spiritual implications we do not fully understand" that come from weekly attendance.
Sacrament meeting is the most sacred and holy of all the meetings in the Church.
Last October President Monson told General Authorities that progress has been made in achieving the “kind of sacred sacrament meetings we know the Savior desires.” He encouraged bringing people to the table of the Lord to feast on His word, to enjoy the companionship of His Spirit, and to partake of the spiritual blessings which are available.
I believe that weekly participation in sacred sacrament meetings has spiritual implications we do not fully understand. I pray that each of us will come to the sacrament table and claim the promised blessings.
