The updated youth curriculum, “Come, Follow Me — For Aaronic Priesthood Quorums and Young Women Classes: Doctrinal Topics 2020” is now available on the gospel library app and on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

The curriculum will align with next year's "Come, Follow Me" study of the Book of Mormon for all members, which begins in January 2020.

The curriculum is releasing lesson outlines in sets, and the first set has already been released. As the updated manual states, "The topic of each week’s outline is a doctrinal principle that has been selected to align with the Book of Mormon reading recommended for that week, found in 'Come, Follow Me—For Individuals and Families.' In this way, doctrinal discussions in quorum and class meetings will support what youth are learning at home."

Some examples of lesson outlines are "Why Are Marriage and Family Important?" with a study of 1 Nephi 1-7 or "What Does It Mean To Live the Doctrine of Christ?" with a study of 2 Nephi 31. Although youth are encouraged to share these outlines in Church meetings, they have the option of discussing other gospel topics based on the needs of the class members.

When this change was first announced in the October general conference, Brother Stephen W. Owen, Young Men General President, said, “This is a small change, but it can make a big impact on the spiritual nourishment of the youth."
