The text for this year's general conference messages is now available on LDS.org, and as we each start rereading and searching these talks, we might have certain questions in mind.
The Church has created an incredible resource for Latter-day Saints, a web page called "Answers to Personal Questions," to help searching Saints find their answers easily.
Starting last year for 2015 April general conference, the Church has compiled a list of commonly asked questions that have been specifically answered at every general conference since that time.
Some of these questions from this and past conferences include:
- How can I prevent trials from overcoming my faith?
- How can I protect my family from excessive use of technology?
- How can I make my prayers more meaningful?
- What is the greatest challenge our youth face today?
- How do I keep the Spirit with me despite my imperfections?
- What should I do if I feel like something is lacking in my Church experience?
- What kind of value do I have as a woman in the Church?
- How can I trust that Church leaders are called of God when they appear to have made mistakes?
- Why doesn’t the Lord call younger men as His prophets and apostles?
- What should I do if a family member has left the Church?
- What if my life hasn’t turned out like I thought it would?
- Why does the Church get involved in public debates on the family?
On the page, it says, "General conference gives us an opportunity to receive guidance from living prophets, learn from the Spirit, and receive answers to personal questions." How lucky we are to have the words of prophets and apostles to search and ponder as we seek answers to these and other deeply personal questions.
In addition, the Church has redesigned the general conference section on LDS.org, allowing you to easily search topics by conferences, speakers, or topics. Be sure to sign into your LDS Account while viewing these talks so you can highlight, tag, and mark up these talks for future references.
