Church Calls 8 New Mission Presidents from Bolivia to Australia

From Washington DC to Bolivia to Australia, learn more about the new mission presidents that have been called by the First Presidency.

The following new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service in July 2016.

Florida Tampa Mission

Kendall James Cooper, 58, and Christine Callister Cooper, five children, Pleasanton 3rd Ward, Pleasanton California Stake: Florida Tampa Mission, succeeding President Mark D. Cusick and Sister Stefanie Cusick. Brother Cooper is a former stake president, high councilor, bishop, bishopric counselor, stake Young Men president, elders quorum president, Primary teacher, and missionary in the Belgium Antwerp Mission. Chief financial officer, NLU Products, LLC. Born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to James William Cooper and Montez Henderson Cooper.

Sister Cooper is a former ward Primary president, ward Relief Society and Primary presidency counselor, visiting teaching coordinator, Young Women adviser, and ward organist. Born in Merced, California, to Eldon Jones Callister and Beth Hutchings Bulkley Callister.

Washington DC North Mission

Stephen Craig Johnson, 64, and Beth Myers Johnson, five children, South Cottonwood Ward, Murray Utah South Stake: Washington DC North Mission, succeeding President Peter S. Cooke and Sister Heather Cooke. Brother Johnson is a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, high councilor, stake mission president, stake Young Men president, and missionary in the Oregon Mission. Chief executive officer, Broadway Media. Born in Price, Utah, to Edgar Lamar Johnson and Regina LaVerda Craig Johnson.

Sister Johnson serves as a choir director and organist and is a former ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary president; ward missionary; and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in Cedar City, Utah, to Kent E Myers and Cherie Mae Ashworth Myers.
