Bonner Family to sing national anthem for NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City

This weekend the biggest names and stars in US professional basketball are headed to Salt Lake City, and fans will have a chance to hear some tremendous Latter-day Saint singing talent.

The Bonner Family will be performing the national anthem before tip-off of two of the official games of the NBA All-Star Weekend happening February 17–19.

First, the Bonner Family will sing before the 2023 Jordan Rising Stars, a showcase of the NBA’s most exciting first- and second-year players, including Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Evan Mobley. The event will be broadcast on Friday, February 17, at 9:00 p.m. ET on TNT. You can learn more about the 2023 Jordan Rising Stars event here.

Then, on Saturday, Feburary 18, the Bonner Family will perform both the US national anthem and the Black national anthem, “Lift Every Voice,” at the NBA HBCU Classic. Tip-off for the game will be at 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feburary 18, and can be watched on TNT, ESPN2 and NBA TV.

On their Facebook page, the Bonner Family said it was an honor to be part of this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend in such a special way.
