LDS 13-year-old Evie Clair is once again gaining attention for her incredible voice after a video sneak peek of her next America's Got Talent performance is making waves among viewers.
Clair, whose amazing first performance of "Arms" by Christina Perri for the popular TV show garnered the praise of show judges, including Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel, appeared on the show because of her father, who was given a 5 percent chance of survival after he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer last year.
"I'm here to sing for him," Clair told show judges as her father watched from the side of the stage. "When my dad is having rough days, I go up to his room and sing him this song to make him feel better and just to give him comfort and strength to continue fighting."
And now the sneak peek of her next America's Got Talent performance, Macy Gray's version of"I Try," is also gaining attention, with billboard.com dubbing it "heart-wrenching" and saying that Clair is "injecting new meaning into each lyric with her poignant delivery."
"While the performance is mature far beyond her 13 years, Clair's mouth full of braces will remind you just what a wunderkind she is, as her proud parents beam from the audience," according to the Billboard article.
While the video does not reveal whether Clair made it as one of the seven to advance to the next round of the show, the results will be revealed tonight on NBC.
