“We all find ourselves in circumstances where we are in desperate need of help, moments where we find ourselves incapable of doing what is asked of us. For each of these moments, there is an answer: Grace.” —Emily Belle Freeman
God’s plan for each of His children includes progress, increase, and transformation. At the center of that plan is Jesus Christ, who offers enabling grace through His Atonement. This enabling strength includes saving grace, which helps us overcome, and exalting grace, which helps us to become.
For the month of April, the LDS Living Book Club will be reading Grace to Become by Emily Belle Freeman. In her signature meditative, soul-expanding style, Emily Belle Freeman explores how each of us can receive the power of Christ’s exalting grace. She demonstrates this by drawing connections and parallels in the story of Abraham to the covenants that lead us to eternal life.
And to round out our month-long book club study on this topic, Deseret Book is hosting a special in-person workshop with Emily Belle Freeman called Exploring Grace. In the workshop, we’ll dive deeper into the scriptures and hear from Freeman directly as she answers questions and shares personal stories about grace.
