The Saturday evening session of April 2020 general conference will already be unlike any previous session of conference, since the session which is typically the Priesthood session will be for all members ages 11 and up.
And now, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is extending an invitation for members to participate in a multicultural choir at the session.
The application is open to Latter-day Saints, male and female, ages 18 and older. Participants must live along the Wasatch Front. Attendance is required at all rehearsals (Sundays from 6–8 p.m. in Riverton, Utah, as well as a dress rehearsal prior to the conference). All ethnicities are invited to apply online.
Some of the questions on the application include contact information, local unit information, previous choir experience, native language, and commitments to abide by the choir dress and grooming standards. Applicants are asked to upload a photo.
The application also includes opportunities if not selected to assist the choir in capabilities such as choir usher and attendance assistant.
The application deadline is Wednesday, February 5 at noon. Applicants will be notified if they are or are not selected to participate by Friday, February 14. Rehearsals begin Sunday, February 23.
