President Dallin H. Oaks recently invited Church members to establish Easter traditions, especially within our families.
Here’s one fun idea.
Send an Easter Diorama
Many families send cards to their loved ones at Christmas. Similarly, we can spread the Savior’s love by reaching out to others near Easter.
The “That I May Know” Easter Diorama by Kate Lee is a small and beautiful way to share the joy of the Resurrection with those you love. Made from four easy-to-assemble paper pieces, this tranquil scene of the Garden Tomb is easy to mail to friends and family who live far away—or even those just down the street.

This diorama is especially perfect to mail to grandkids as an Easter surprise: it’s not fragile, features simple artwork, and provides a visual way to help them learn about the Savior’s Resurrection.
You may include a letter with the diorama, sharing your testimony of Jesus and explaining to your grandkids what Easter means to you. As Elder Neil L. Andersen said in the April 2023 general conference, pondering the Savior will bless your life:
“My prayer at this Easter season is that we will more consciously shape, strengthen, and secure this preeminent thought of Jesus Christ in the chambers of our soul, allowing it to eagerly flow into our mind, guide us in what we think and do, and continually bring the sweet joy of the Savior’s love.”
As we consciously invite thoughts of Jesus into the next few weeks and share those thoughts with others, we can feel increased joy and gratitude for the priceless gift of the Savior’s sacrifice and His gospel of unending hope.
