In today’s divisive and tumultuous world, general conference was a comforting assurance that “[the] best is yet to come,” as President Russell M. Nelson reminded us. Because of Jesus Christ, light overcomes darkness, love conquers fear, and hope prevails over despair.

Here are four prophetic promises from the October 2024 general conference that we can rely on when worries or trials “threaten our peace to destroy.” You can screenshot the quotes and send them to a friend or loved one who might need these uplifting reminders as well.

You Will Find Christ

Here is my promise to you: Every sincere seeker of Jesus Christ will find Him in the temple. You will feel His mercy. You will find answers to your most vexing questions. You will better comprehend the joy of His gospel. —Russell M. Nelson

His Peace Will Come

The peace you seek may not come as quickly as you desire, but I promise you that as you trust in the Lord, His peace will come. —Neil L. Andersen

You Will Draw Closer to God

If you pray, if you talk to God, and if you plead for His help for your loved one, and if you thank Him not only for help but for the patience and gentleness that come from not receiving all you desire right away or perhaps ever, then I promise you that you will draw closer to Him. —Henry B. Eyring

The Next 10 Years Will Be Unforgettable

I promise you this will be a decade never to be forgotten for you if you embrace these four divinely appointed responsibilities: 1) Living the gospel of Jesus Christ, 2) Caring for those in need, 3) Inviting all to receive the gospel, 4) Uniting families for eternity. —Gary E. Stevenson
