Temple Trivia

In preparation for your group's next trip to do temple baptisms, play a game
with temple trivia. Have the youth search through Church magazines, the
scriptures, and online for interesting facts about temples. Be sure to check
out the Family Home Evening lesson posted on February 20th for more temple
trivia. Here are a few examples to get you started!

· When was our local temple constructed?

· Which temples don't include an angel Moroni statue?

· How many temples have been rededicated?

· How many temples are there within a 100-mile radius from our town?

· Memorize the first ten temples.

· How many temples were announced at the last General Conference?

· Which temples were dedicated during Gordon B. Hinckley's presidency?

· What are the requirements for a temple recommend?

Once you have a large collection of trivia questions, write the questions on
one side of an index card and the answers on the other side. Take turns drawing
the cards and trying to answer them individually or as a group. You could
consider making a board game out of it, or giving prizes to winners. This will
be a great preparatory youth activity for your new temple night. Have fun!
