Fresh Dating Ideas

by LDS Living Staff

It's date night. You've got a sitter, and you and your sweetheart have exactly two and a half hours of alone time. Now what should you do?

Coming up with new date ideas is just about as easy as coming up with the formula for cold fusion. And while going to dinner and watching a movie really can be fun, here are a few ideas to spice up the best night of the week.

Thank you for a nice article with good ideas. My wife and I enjoy a weekly date doing an endowment session at the Temple followed by lunch, usually in the Temple cafeteria, where we can get a nice variety at reasonable prices. As we are both retired, that works out fine for us. Before we retired, we did a late afternoon session followed by dinner. Then, we adopted four children from Haiti, and we have to do our date while they are in school. They are enough of a challenge that we do not feel we can afford to hire "mean" baby-sitters on our retirement income, nor do we want to impose on anyone to watch them while we go out at night.
