
A Mormon temple featuring stained glass windows, granite finish and extensive landscaping will become an "iconic" piece of architecture in northwest Calgary and a private place of teaching and worshipping for members of the faith, church leaders say.
The land use amendment necessary for the project to go ahead is set to come before council today.
The province's two other Mormon temples are in Cardston and Edmonton, and Calgary church members say they're looking forward to having a place of worship nearby.
