New Art Exhibit on Women at Church History Museum

The Church History Museum announced today the opening of a new art exhibit on womanhood titled Practicing Charity: Everyday Daughters of God. Opening on Friday, February 28, 2014, this seven-month exhibition features the works of three Latter-day Saint artists: Lee Bennion, Brian Kershisnik, and Kathy Peterson.

The three artists featured in this exhibition were selected because of their special portrayal of women as authentic, noble, everyday daughters of God. “These paintings depict the divine nature of women while simultaneously celebrating the importance of their everyday lives,” said Laura Hurtado, curator for the exhibit.
