On Feb. 25, Bishop Randall (Randy) Wells was flying from Pheonix, Arizona, to Sandy, Utah, with his two children when his Cessna plane went missing.

On Feb. 27, search and rescue crews found the plane, which had crashed near Panguitch, Utah.

Tragically, Bishop Wells and his children did not survive the crash.

Following this tragedy, ward members and complete strangers have reached out with love and support to Wells' wife, Kristin Wells, as she plans three funerals while also 20 weeks along in her pregnancy.

Many of Kristin's fellow ward members searched for the plane after it went missing and immediately returned to a ward meeting house after finding the plane to begin a 24-hour fast for Kristin as they mourned the loss of Bishop Wells and his two children.

"It's just sad," one of Kristin's neighbors Glen Mitchell told KUTV about the crash. "I think of that poor mother."

Complete strangers have also shown their support for Kristin following the crash through a GoFundMe page for funeral expenses, many commenting that she is in their prayers as she moves forward after losing her husband and two small children.

"My father lost his parents to a plane crash when he was 12 years old, making him an orphan. This touches my heart in ways I can't express. I am so sorry for your loss. This isn't fair, but I know, without a doubt, that you will get through this!" one wrote.

"I am not able to donate anything, the one thing I feel that I can do for her and family is to remember them in our Family prayers that they can be blessed and comforted by this tragic loss. Heaven has gained 3 beautiful spirits, [their] work here on earth must have been completed, as tragically as this may be," wrote another.
