Todd Pedersen is the CEO and founder of Vivint. He founded the company after dropping out of college to start a home security business. The company has gone on to become a multi-billion dollar business.

This week Shauna Lake sits down with Todd Pedersen, Person 2 Person.

SHAUNA LAKE: Was it a positive experience all in all?

TODD PEDERSEN: Oh it…the “Undercover Boss” was an incredible experience. I loved it. I really didn’t know what to expect going into it. I had seen the show of course, but it was way more personal with the employees than I ever imagined. It was amazing, and in fact, it was about a week long experience but I didn’t want it to end. Truthfully when it was done, even though I wanted to get back to my family desperately, I really didn’t want it to end quite yet. And there were things that we learned that we actually implemented and made immediate changes inside the company. So that…from that perspective was unreal.
