· 1 package chocolate cake mix
· Ingredients called for in cake mix
· 1 (6-ounce) raspberry Jell-O mix
· 1 (16-ounce) container chocolate frosting
· 2¼ cups chocolate chips (white, milk, or dark)
· 1½ tablespoons Crisco

In a large bowl, blend cake mix with Jell-O, then prepare as mix directs. Pour batter into 9"×13" pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake according to cake mix directions. When cake is done, crumble while warm into a large bowl and stir in frosting. Mix until well blended. Roll into 1-inch balls. Chill in fridge or freezer until firm. Put chocolate chips and Crisco in microwave-safe container. Microwave on high for two 30-second increments, stirring in between. Continue to microwave on high in 10-second increments as needed, stirring in between, until the chips are all melted. Using a fork, skewer each cake ball and dip it in chocolate. Decorate as desired and place on parchment paper. Return cake balls to fridge to cool and set up.
